Retreat House Program Collaboration and Partnering, 2023

provides support, companioning, and leadership development for spiritual deepening in parishes, congregations,
and Episcopal communities as they grow in their life together.
We’d love to talk with you and explore possible collaborations. Operating from the Spiritual center, we might, together, notice what longings and/or struggles might invite a deeper look. As an introduction and way to begin exploring, we offer workshops and circles that focus on specific areas. Several of these offerings are below. Through our conversation and listening in the Spirit, we can discover what might be emerging as a new growth in community. Ongoing partnership circles can provide support and companionship in listening for the Spirit and cultivating new growth in faith communities. How is your community called? We’d love to talk with you and explore how we can collaborate with you. For more information, please contact us at The Retreat House: info@retreathousehillsboro.org.

Introductions to collaboration include:

Vestry as Spiritual Leaders 101 – This workshop invites leaders to consider a prayerful approach to serving God through their calling to be a member of a church vestry. This program blends scripture, prayer, and vestry orientation materials from the Episcopal Church Foundation. Offered as a 3-hour in-person or Zoom session.

Discernment and Leadership 101  –  For lay and ordained leaders, this offering explores the contemplative practice of listening to Spirit in community, discovering gifts, and discerning what is called for your community. Offered as a 3-hour in-person or Zoom session.

Cultivating Emerging Spiritual Communities 101  –  This conversation invites a practical and practiced way of discerning the invitation to a new community, setting the stage, and using collaboration and spiritual listening to nurture its growth.

Spiritual Deepening 101: Companionship on Our Faith Journey  –  This conversation explores the practice of spiritual deepening or spiritual guidance as an invitation to all. We will begin the exploration of offering spiritual deepening in your community or congregation. Offered as a 3-hour in-person or Zoom session.

Sacred Ground 101: Reconciliation as Spiritual Practice  –  This workshop guides facilitators entering into the process of Sacred Ground as a contemplative spiritual practice.
