Join us for this two-week series on Zoom for the beginning of Advent. We will explore together the Lord’s Prayer as translated directly from the original Aramaic spoken by Jesus. The first language of Jesus of Nazareth and those who would have been his early followers is a vastly nuanced language—earthy, sensual, and rich in meaning. We will be guided by Dr. Neil Douglas-Klotz’s translation and commentary-rich book Prayers of the Cosmos, whose subtitle is “Reflections on the Original Meaning of Jesus’ Words.” Join us and listen for new breath, new meaning, and new energy when praying “The Lord’s Prayer.”
