SUMMARY:Good Grief: A Pilgrimage through Transition and Loss
DESCRIPTION:A state of the heart mostly associated with the death of someone we love\, grief also finds us through many kinds of life transitions and losses. Even happy times like retirement\, relocation or the birth of a child can provoke grief for what is ending\, as our new phase of life begins. \nIn this program we will use our own experiences of transition and loss to explore the mystery of God’s presence during the grieving process. As curious spiritual pilgrims we will invite the Holy Spirit to guide us as we: \n\ndiscuss the spiritual nature of grief\nshare our stories\nlearn practices that gently heal the tender heart\nof grief in each of us\n\nUsing scripture\, poetry\, music and prayer\, we will open our minds and spirits to the possibilities that arise on the pilgrim’s path of change\, loss and healing. \nThe group will meet for six Wednesday sessions from 6:00 – 8:00 pm with the option to meet for two sessions before the holiday season. \n\nSeptember 12\, 19\, 26 and October 3\, 10\, 17\n\nA suggested donation of $10 per session\, or $55 for all six sessions will be gratefully accepted at the door. Please don’t let finances keep you from attending. Register once for all six sessions at https://rhgoodgrief.eventbrite.com or by email to info@retreathousehillsboro.org. \n  \nAbout the leader: Linda Mastro is a spiritual pilgrim\, life coach and spiritual director trained through the Bon Secours Retreat and Conference Center in Marriottsville\, Maryland. A parishioner of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Easton\, Linda serves in liturgical ministry.
